Sebagai pemilik sebuah blog / web anda pasti tidak asing dengan program cPanel, yaitu panel untuk mengatur domain hosting kita. cPanel hanya bisa diakses jika kita sedang online dengan internet.

Tapi bagi anda yang tidak selalu online dengan internet, ada trik agar anda tetap bisa melakukan design web / blog yaitu dengan menggunakan software gratis dari apachefriends.org yang bernama XAMPP, dan sebagai contoh saya akan melakukan instalasi wordpress di localhost (komputer tanpa koneksi internet)

Berikut step by step instalasi wordpress dengan software XAMPP:

1. Decompres / extract XAMPP ke dalam folder C:\xampp atau di D:\xampp

2. Setelah extract berhasil, jalankan aplikasi xampp_start.exe (ada di folder XAMPP), dan akan muncul window yang meminta kita untuk tetap blokir php dan my sql, pilihlah unblok

3.Buka browser anda dan ketikkan http://localhost bila instalasi berhasil maka akan muncul tampilan berikut:

4. Sebagai contoh saya ingin buat blog dengan menggunakan mesin wordpress, sebelumnya anda harus punya script wordpress, anda bisa dapatkan secara gratis di wordpress.org. Copy script wordpress (file sudah di extract) ke folder C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress.

5.Pada Welcome XAMPP klik phpMyAdmin, kemudian buatlah database kosong dengan nama wordpress atau terserah anda. Kemudian ketik alamat http://localhost/wordpress/ maka akan muncul perintah instalasi dari wordpress. Nama database harus sama dengan database yang kita buat di phpMyAdmin. Bila anda belum melakukan perubahan username dan password MySQL maka default username MySQL adalah root dan tanpa password. Kemudian ikuti petunjuk instalasi dari mesin wordpress sampai selesai.

6. Selesai dan lihat hasil berikut:

MySQL database, PHP, HTTPS (SSL), Common Gateway Interface (CGI), Server Side Includes (SSI), SMTP Service, FTP Service

Ada cara yang cukup mudah untuk mengetahui jumlah pengunjung web / blog yang sedang online. Yantu dengan menggunakan whos.amung.us.

Situs ini memberikan dua fasilitas gratis yaitu:

1. Untuk mengetahui jumlah pengunjung yang sedang online. Caranya mudah kita tinggal klik whos.amung.us, kemudian pilih page original, lalu pilih posisinya, misal pada bagian bawah dan tengah, lalu copy saja script berikut :

Tentunya sebagai pemilik blog / web kita ingin mengetahui berapa jumlah pengunjung blog / web kita. Ada fasilitas menarik dari FlagCounter.com. Situs ini mampu menghitung pengunjung kita dan dari negara mana pengunjung kita berasal.

Caranya sangat sederhana dan mudah berikut langkah langkahnya:

1. Klik situs flagcounter.com
2. Tentukan jumlah maksimum kategori negara pengunjung
3. Tentukan label counter
4. Tentukan background dan warna text sehingga sesuai dengan design blog / web kita.
5. Kita juga diberi pilihan untuk menampilkan kode negara dan pageview atau tidak.
6. Kita memperoleh script yang bisa kita pasang di blog / web kita
7. Selesai.

Surely every blogger must know as Google Page Rank (PR) and Alexa Rank, because with these tools we can know the quality of our blog / web. And of course we must monitor the progress of your blog / web with that tool.

Suppose we want to know how about our blog’s PR, we can check into some of the following sites: www.checkpr.info or www.thegooglepagerank.com and many more in google search. So do we want to know our alexa rank just visit alexa.com, then type our blog domain, and we get the rank of our blog / web.

Easy it ….??? answer: Yes, but there is complicated cause we must do many of click… and make we tired…

Just sharing… about the C-Box (chat), if I’m blogging with fast package internet service, post comment in the C-Box not a problem because the speed’s good, but since I choose the cheap would I use another provider with a package alias pas2an slow. and the results that comment on the Cbox kok error ya often … I repeat deh trus commentnya entry. But it is an error message is not correct, since posting my comment earlier was signed (see picture below). As a result commentnya a double post. Look at the blogs deh pake Cbox sure there are plenty of double comment.

I think it’s better for use Shoutmix Chat because rare get error though our internet packages is low connection…..

Alexa Service can also find the top global web, the state or category.

Actually it’s up to us as the blog owner to set / fill anything in our blog, but we also need to look at from the standpoint of our visitors, and this certainly is the most important thing because without visitors, our blog has no meaning.

In managing a blog there are some things that I think is important here:

1. Blog design a simple but interesting because  blog display is also one visitor attraction when the first time visit.

2. Create content concept article we will show, this article aims to make the focus of our initial concept of our blog

3. Define categories of articles, is intended to articles that you create a separate grouping that allows visitors to explore on your blog, it also lets you to get a new ideas in writing an article

4. Specify the title of your article, must focus first with the category that you created

5. Consistent to always increase your posts, because this is an attraction for visitors to come back to your blog.
